It acts as the principal entry point for international travel to Hawaii as well as a key hub for business, finance, hospitality, and military defense in the state and in Oceania. The 2020 U.S. Census recorded the population of Honolulu at 350,964, making it the 55th largest city in the United States. In comparison, the population of the city was 337,256 as per the 2010 U.S. Census.
