On October 19, 2022, I had a tire blowout on my way to a Dr's appointment in Kahului. I was just beyond Olowalu, before Maalaea. I am a disabled senior citizen, with a heart problem. I called Westside Towing and the dispatcher said she'd send someone out to put my spare tire on. The wrecker driver got there and switched out qthe tires. When he got the spare put on, it looked very low. I asked him if could air the tire up and he said he didn't have any air but that the tire would be fine, either to Maalaea or back to Lahaina. I asked him, "Are you sure?" three more times before he took off and he assured me it would be fine. I had already canceled my Dr's appointment, but had an errand to run in Wailuku so I thought I'd go to Maalaea, get air & go on to Wailuku, however, there was a lot of traffic and to get across the road would have taken forever. I decided to go back to Lahaina, get air and then go to Wailuku. By the time I got to the 76 Station, in Lahaina, the tire was shredded! There is no way I would have made it to Maalaea...I would have had a blowout on the Pali, probably caused an accident and more than likely gotten killed! The wrecker driver should have said, "There's no way this tire will make it anywhere. Let me tow you into Lahaina to air it up. It is not safe." I would have gladly said yes and paid the difference. Instead he took off as fast as he could. I had to flag him down because he let my CRV down off the jack so hard that it jarred my battery and the car wouldn't even start. He jumped it off and took off like the wind! I called Westside Towing the next day and left a message for the owner, Allen.  He never called back. The next day, I called again and spoke to the dispatcher who sent the driver out. She had a big attitude and was very rude. She then asked me to hold on, hung up on me and would not answer when I called back several times. I paid this company $78.15 and tipped the driver $10, my life was put in danger and was treated like THIS!!! CALL ANY OTHER TOWING COMPANY, BUT DON'T CALL INCOMPETENT WESTSIDE TOWING! You'd be better off to sit on the side of the road & call a cab than to call these people. Because of the negligent wrecker driver, I had to pay $140 for a new tire, when my spare was in good shape, when I got back to Lahaina.
