Welcome to Molokai Music Maker......On the beautiful friendly isle of Molokai ,Hawaii I run a small intimate music shop..My primary focus is to build my own brand of ukuleles,secondly i also offer production and vintage ukuleles when available,so my inventory is constantly fresh and changing...my average supply of ukes is around 4 dozen ++.......I have guitars,and a complete range of accessories available as well.....Right now I am promoting my just completed tenor ukes,in Island Koa wood or in a Flame Mahogany .....Constructed and designed by me,using high quality solid tonewoods,Flawlessly bookmatched, with paua shell (mother of pearl / abalone )inlays on border and soundhole rosette.....spanish style neck joint,rosewood fret board,bridge and binding...solid mahogany neck, with paua shell fret markers on frets 5,7,10,12...complimented with side dot fret markers for ease of playing reference.... slotted headstock.....quarter sawn spruce is used for all of the interior bracing... custom designed bracing structure.....boxed under soundhole, connected to a quad tone bar fan spread, and tied to the bridge patch....all of this supports the top and directs the sound to be clear and true,with just the right amount of resonance for awesome clarity and balance.....I apply a primary sealer / tie coat of tung oil, then apply multiple coats of tru-oil gunstock finish,applied and sanded by hand, taking a minimum of 3 weeks for durable and long lasting protection....Nu-bone nut and saddle,quality 16:1 open geared vintage look chrome tuners.....Worth-brown low-G, or Oasis brand wound low-G or 100% Flourocarbon strings available as well as aquila nylgut......I also pre-select and install a high quality piezo under saddle passive pick up with 1/4" jack centered on bottom of lower bout........ If you have always wanted a more expensive big K uke (Kamaka,Kanilea,KoAloha ) or high end Mele, but just don't have an extra grand + to spend , then i have the answer...My ukes start at $400, and $500 for an Acoustic / Electric,in either Koa or Flame Mahogany.....comes complete with 15mm padded gig bag,digital clip on multi- tuner,uke chord sheet and all of my meticulous set up (3/64" @ nut and 3/16" + /- @14th fret ), ...This provides a great looking, great sounding, great playing, great priced custom Hawaiian Handmade ukulele..Mahalo Nui Loa,Todd...the molokai music maker
