The exercises of Practical Life are the same all over the world but different
in their expression according to the culture of the Country where the Montessori environment is established and they 're classified as Preliminary exercises, Movement, Personal care, Care of the environment, grace and Courtesy. there are materials for each of these areas, adapted to the children's size, interests and capability.

Sensorial: These materials give children the opportunity to sort through their senses
by color, shape, size, sound, smell, temperature, texture and weight. They will grade from dark to light, from large to small, classify sounds: loud and soft, temperatures: cold and hot, etc.

Repetition and individual work allow them to correct themselves by the control of error which will increase their independence and habit of working unafraid of making mistakes and becoming comfortable with the fact that errors are part of the process of learning.
The Montessori Sensorial materials isolate one quality at a time and allow children to classify sensorial impressions to structure, order and organize their amazing young mind and build a strong foundation for Mathematics, Language, Science, Geography, Art and Music. Children also abstract the concept made concrete in each piece of material to name it and then apply it to the environment, thereby perceiving their universe with greater awareness.

Language: The variety of language Materials provided, prepare the child for writing, reading and handwriting in an individual process that helps them to enjoy the discovery of their own knowledge with the support of conversation time, stories, poems, finger plays and games.
This will increase their vocabulary and communication skills as much as the interest in reading and writing, understanding the value and respect for books as the best learning tools to learn about any other subject in their entire world.
The use of language in the environment is a key factor keeping it simple, precise and age appropriate. Answering all questions according to their level and needs fulfillment.

Mathematics: Math is the international common language in the entire world. All these Materials give the children a sensorial experience of the abstraction that is mathematics, allowing them to store concepts so that when the time comes to deal exclusively in abstract terms, the understanding is already there.
Before the children begin to work with the Math Materials, the Exercises of Practical Life have given them the opportunity to develop logical and sequential thought patterns.
The logical order of the Practical Life activities has been complemented by the mathematical order in the Sensorial Materials. These materials allow the children to work with the quantities 1 to 10 in several dimensions and with the Math Materials, they are given their numerical value and understand the concepts of addition and subtraction.
A concrete representation of the Decimal System, 1 to 1000 demonstrates place value and the concept that a decimal category can not exceed nine. So later on children will understand and read up to four digit numbers.

Biology: During the first three years of life children have absorbed a limitless wealth of impressions, taking in all the elements of the world around them. Among these are a multitude of plants, trees, flowers and an infinite variety of growing things.
Children need to love and understand this living environment so it is necessary to provide a mass of information.
Again, the child is given names and the opportunity for sensorial exploration, which acquires meaning by becoming organized through the variety of Montessori botany materials. Leaves cabinet, Puzzles and Life cycles of animals and plants in different cards sets.
